Vitamin A is important for overall health. It fights dryness in hair and scalp by keeping them hydrated. It also has acids that promote healthy hair cells.

The proper blood circulation in the body triggers hair growth. Enough flow in the scalp will promote cell turnover. Also, it makes way for new and healthy hair cells.

Vitamin C plays an important role in our bodies. It is responsible for maintaining the immune system. Additionally, it is good for the skin. That is why vitamin C is a common ingredient for skincare. It fights cell damage and promotes cell turnover. Also, it is effective in fighting off dark marks. Vitamin C is helpful for collagen production. With it, the skin can stay supple and clear.

Hair and scalp need enough moisture. Vitamin E can help with this. It improves blood circulation and strengthens immunity to prevent hair damage.

      2. It fights off Bacteria

The tart ingredient of cherry can ward off bacteria. Hence, it is perfect for removing trapped bacteria under the skin. Less of this will decrease the chances of breaking out.

      3. It has Anti-aging Properties

Cherries are rich in anti-oxidants. These fights off free radicals in the body that make skin look older. That is why it is very effective in slowing down the aging process.

      4. It Promotes Beart Health

The heart pumps blood throughout the body. It sends out nutrients needed by each part. If you have heart concerns, you may also have an increased risk of developing hair and skin concerns. Hence, it is where cherries come into the picture. This fruit can protect your heart. They are rich in nutrients that promote heart health. They also contain something that fights off any danger to keep your heart healthy. Increasing your intake of healthy foods like cherries will decrease your risk of developing heart diseases.

      5. It Improves Sleep Quality

Healthy skin needs adequate sleep. Cherry fruit is good for you if you have trouble sleeping at night. It may promote sleep because of its plant compounds. It also contains a substance that is responsible for the sleep-wake cycle. Several studies showed that adults who drank cherry juice could sleep well in terms of quality and duration.

      6. It is a Low-calorie Snack

In addition to adequate sleep, a healthy diet is also needed for hair and skin health. Luckily, eating cherries is a good way to do this. A cup of it only has 100 calories. They help you in reaching your required calories daily.

The best part about cherries is that they are delicious and easy to eat—both the cherry plum and the sour cherry pair well with many foods. Cherry can be eaten fresh as a snack. You can also freeze it and add it to your smoothie or make a smoothie out of it. A homemade trail mix will be more fun with the addition of cherries. For an energy-boosting breakfast, add cherries to your cereals or oatmeal. You can add the fruits or cherry compote.

A fruit salad will also work for cherries. Of course, this fruit makes the best addition to your baked goods. You may put it in pies, crumbles, or cupcakes. For something savory, one can serve it alongside meals. Cherry salsa made with diced cherries and fresh herbs will bring flavor to your food. You can also add sour cherry juice to your alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for a twist in your drinks.

      Important Note

Buy cherry plums that have a glossy surface. They should also be firm to touch. Avoid those with discoloration. You will know it’s ripe if it’s already dark-colored. Cherries with stem can last longer. If you bought those without stem, remember to eat them immediately since they can easily go bad. Keep the fruits at room temperature. Eat them within two days. If you will not eat them soon, keep them in an airtight container and freeze for up to one week.
