      Some people need food that is easy to digest because of their health conditions. Hence, it makes chewing a very challenging activity for them. In case you have a problem chewing, it is essential to eat food can is easy to digest. Chewing is one of the most important processes of digestion. It starts the breaking down of food into smaller pieces. Therefore, if you cannot chew properly, then you may experience a stomach problem.

      The following are foods that you can eat if you are having trouble chewing your food. 

      1. Toasted Bread

      Toasted bread is easier to digest than fresh bread. Hence, the toasting of it already breaks down the carbohydrates inside the bread. If you want to find foods that are easy to digest, like bread, it may have a different effect. Hence, it depends on the type of bread. For instance, wheat bread is a lot difficult to breakdown because it has more fiber. 

      However, if you want wheat, then it is good to eat it fresh without butter. Fat in butter is also hard to break down. Also, there is an option for those with wheat allergies. You may look for gluten-free bread.

      2. Plain White Rice

      Plain white rice is the best choice, but rice high in fiber may not be for you. If you cannot chew the food properly, then eating brown rice can give you diarrhea and excess gas inside the stomach. Also, another right choice aside from white is red rice. However, you may also choose to buy enriched rice for additional nutrients.

      However, fried rice using white rice is not a good choice. Hence, the fat use to fry the rice makes it harder to breakdown. 

      3. Bananas

      Another gut friendly food is a banana. Likewise, it is full of nutrients, fiber, and carbohydrates. Mostly, even people with chewing problems can easily digest this fruit. Aside from that, it has enough water that is good for people with diarrhea. However, it is not true that banana is not good for people with constipation. 

      Moreover, people with diabetes may stay away from a too ripe banana. Hence, it has more sugar in it. Therefore, it is vital to ask your doctor to know how much banana you can eat a day.

      4. Applesauce

      Although apple is a nutritious fruit with a rich source of fiber, it is hard to breakdown. However, it may not be good for you if you cannot chew properly. To solve the problem, you can cook the apple to become applesauce. Once it is cooked, then it will produce pectin that is good for people with diarrhea. However, be very careful in eating process applesauce as it may have more sugar. Therefore, it is better to make your applesauce.

      The following are steps to make gut-friendly food like applesauce.

      • Peel the apple and take out the seeds at the center.
      • Slice the apple and place it in a pan with water.
      • Cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes using low fire. However, it is important to stir it continuously to avoid sticking.
      • You may mash lumps and serve cold or hot.

      5. Eggs

      Eggs are cook in different ways. However, all of them are very easy for the stomach. Also, it is best for people who are recovering from an illness. Hence, white has less fat and very easy to digest. Also, the yolk is not very hard to breakdown for people with stomach issues. Eggs are the easiest food to digest, but one should cook them properly. An undercooked egg may cause health problems like poisoning.

      6. Sweet Potatoes

      It has soluble fiber that is easier to breakdown. Likewise, it can benefit the stomach as it increases good bacteria. Aside from that, it has ingredients that are important for people who are having stomach upset.

      7. Chicken

      This food is the best source of protein and other nutrients. Also, it is one of the easiest foods to digest because it has no fiber. Hence, one can enjoy it baked or boiled. You may eat it with skin or skinless as it contains very little amount of fat.

      8. Salmon

      Furthermore, among all the fishes, salmon is the healthiest. It has good fat and vitamins that the body needs for overall health. However, baking is the best way to cook it. Frying the fish can make it harder to digest because of oil.

      People with chewing and stomach problems must stay away from foods high in fat, spicy, and acidic foods.
