Also, building good habits should be the goal to maximize the potential of all active minds. If you are not giving attention to your mental health, it is not yet too late.

      These habits will guide you in changing your lifestyle to have a healthy mind healthy body in the future.

      1. Exercise

      When you do not have a good relationship with exercise, it is better to find other ways to do your workout without dreading it. Hence, you can listen to your favorite music while working out to make you feel better. Choosing the right exercise for you without feeling bad about it is very important. Likewise, it will make you consistent with your workouts, and you can build it as your habit.

      Have you once played a sport when you were younger but forgot about it? Also, it can be your chance to do and try it again. Likewise, adding exercise to your routine will improve your mental health. Hence, healthy minds do not have a hard time focusing on something. If you are struggling with clearing your mind, you should exercise.

      2. Meditation

      There are different types of meditation:

      Mindfulness

      Moreover, it is a type of meditation where you pay attention to your thoughts as they pass through your mind. You do not have to judge your thoughts or become involved with them. Therefore, the only thing you have to do is to observe and take note of the patterns.

      Spiritual

      It is the same with prayer. You have to reflect on the silence with you and seek a deeper connection with God or the Universe. Some use essential oils to spice up the spiritual experience. For example, essential oils like frankincense, myrrh, sage, and cedar are some. Therefore, it is a type of meditation best for those who look for spiritual growth and silence.

      Focused

      It includes a concentration on the five senses of the body. An example of this is focusing on your breathing. However, most beginners of this meditation have a hard time focusing. They can only last no longer than a few minutes. But this meditation is helpful for those who need to improve their focus.

      Movement

      It is a type of meditation where you allow your body to move. Also, it can be yoga, walking, or gardening. It is an active form of mediation perfect for active minds. 

      Mantra

      This meditation uses repetitive sounds. Therefore, it does not matter if the mantra can be aloud or not. The teachings of this meditation came from Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

      Transcendental

      It is a popular type of meditation exercise. Hence, it has caught the attention of many scientific studies. It is also a kind of meditation for those who like to have a structured and serious meditation activity.

      3. Wake up Early

      Rising early in the morning is a struggle for some. However, many studies say that waking up early in the morning is better than waking up late. It is because our minds are more active in the morning. But some people have active minds even during the night. Suppose your goal is to be more productive during the day. It is good to wake up early.

      4. Create a Nighttime Routine

      If you are having trouble sleeping, it can solve your problem. Having a nighttime routine allows your brain to know that it is already time for sleeping. Therefore, it is good to allow your body to slow down and relax. For first-timers, it would take time to see the effects of this habit. But it will help you big time.

      5. Proper nutrition

      For healthy minds, nutrition is very important. Make sure that you do these things to keep your mind and body healthy.

      • Lessen your sugar consumption. Sugar is not healthy for your body if you use it too much. You have to be conscious of your sugar intake. The suggested serving for it is 50g. But it would be much better if you keep it on 30g.
      • Drink more water. Hence, it is very important to keep your body hydrated. By drinking water, your body can already get an adequate mineral that it needs. Always keep a bottle of water by your side.
      • Get your food from a natural source. It is good if you will plant the food that you eat. So that you know where the food comes from before consuming it. Supermarket foods are not transparent when it comes to their food. It might contain chemicals that are harmful to your body.

      6. Find Real Friends

      Make sure that you are with those people that will always be with you. No matter what the circumstance will be, they will still be true to you. Keeping healthy relationships is very important for you to have a healthy mind.

      7. Find a Creative Outlet

      Do you love doing something but you are afraid to start? Well, this might be a good time to do it. You do not have to care what other people think. Do what you love doing and be good at it.

      Creating a habit from scratch will not be easy. But it is not impossible to make it happen. Be committed to your goal and take it day by day. You will achieve your goal someday. Therefore, take good care of your physical and mental health.
