      After knowing its meaning, you can now move forward to nutrigenomics. It is a study of the body’s makeup that can affect how the body process food.       Some people may have a bad reaction to some foods like dairy, coffee, and alcohol. According to experts, it may play an important role in it. When it comes to the right treatment of illnesses, this new approach is not yet being applied. However, they are now studying how it can help people with weight problems. The truth is that being obese does not have a specific cause, and it is still unknown. 

      Some people having weight problems shows a connection with gene expression. Therefore, the expression may change with the right food choices. For instance, there is a gene that is responsible for the coding of fat mass. Also, it can affect a person’s weight and lead to having diabetes type 2. 

      According to several studies about the Mediterranean diet (a diet that includes more vegetables, lean meat, nuts, whole grains, and olive oil). People who are into this type of diet show improvement to their overall health. Hence, they also show signs of having lower chances of having diabetes than those who are on a regular diet.

      Moreover, by understanding the connection of diet, we may know each food type’s effect on our body. Hence, by being aware of our bodies, we can stay away from bad foods for our health. However, there are other important parts of being healthy and fit, like physical activities, age, gender, and lifestyle. All of these things can improve overall health.

      This new technology uses different kinds of tools to know the risks of having an illness and how it will progress.

      • Gene testing 
      • Food dairies
      • Hormone level
      • Information like age, sex, height, weight, and current body weight
      • BMI calculator

      4. The Application

      It applies to different kinds of health conditions. 

      • It can become a tool to know if a person has higher chances of getting a health problem.
      • Also, it can find out the relationship between mental health, obesity, and stomach health. 
      • Another is the link between nutrients to some illnesses. For instance, caffeine and heart issues are some.

      5. Personalized Healthcare

      Furthermore, through gene testing, one can get personalized healthcare treatment. Hence, it can determine those people who need to take more vitamins to prevent having health issues. It can also tell people what kind of diet is best for them, whether low fat or low carb diet. As a result, you do not have to test the water and start your weight loss journey right away. Also, it can make us stay away from costly diet plans and pills.

      6. It is a Complicated Process

      It is true that it is hard to understand the process at first. The following are reasons for its imitations.  

      • Studies have different results for one person.
      • The specific tissue to be used is not yet known.
      • Some tools, like food diaries, are not a good source of information. 

      The bottom line is that everything that we take can affect our health in good or bad ways. Therefore, it can offer a guide to people to choose healthier choices for them.
