5. Before MRI

You must not go into the MRI room if you have metal. Hence, this warning is due to the magnetic field in the machine that can attract metal. Therefore, tell your doctor if you have things that may have metal like:
- Artificial organ or body parts (e.g., artificial heart valves, cochlear implants, hearing aids, metal joints or limbs, dentures, or dental fillings)
- Accessories like body piercings, eyeglasses, and bracelets

6. During MRI
Furthermore, the doctor will ask you to lie on a table that goes inside the machine. They may put your whole body inside the machine or a part of it. To hold you still, some use straps. Also, during the scan, you may hear a loud tapping sound. It is due to the machine making energy to take pictures inside your body. As a result, they may give you earplugs or headphones to lessen the sound. However, it is normal to feel a twitching sensation. Additionally, this test may take from 20-90 minutes.
