      Furthermore, ginger helps the gut to move the food through your intestine. As a result, it prevents stomach bloating and cramps. 

      6. Reduces Nausea

      Ginger is famous for reducing nausea or calming an upset stomach. It gets rid of the built-up gas in your guts. Also, many health conditions have nausea in their symptom. If you have motion sickness, ginger tea may help you with the symptoms. 

      7. Lowers Blood Sugar Levels

      Ginger is good, especially for people with diabetes. Hence, it controls the insulin response. So, it will allow the body to use blood sugar.

      Ginger is a natural cholesterol reducer. A 2014 study stated that taking 5 g of ginger for three months will lower “bad” cholesterol.

      Along with a healthy diet and exercise, ginger water helps in weight loss. Drinking hot ginger tea may make you feel full for a longer time. In a 2012 study, ten obese men who drank hot ginger tea felt fuller. Therefore, having a balanced blood sugar will prevent you from overeating. As it keeps the blood sugar stable, it will be a key in losing weight. 

      10. Lowers Blood Pressure 

      A study shows that taking ginger will lower the risk of having high blood pressure. Also, people who took 2-4 g of ginger a day had lower blood pressure. Additionally, it may also improve blood circulation. 

      11. Relieves Period Cramps

      Women with period may feel less pain with ginger. Hence, add ginger tea to your diet especially in the first days of your period. Aside from cramps, it relieves.

      12. Slows Down Aging

      Aside from making you healthy, it keeps your skin protein. By doing so, it slows down the aging of several body organs. 

      13. Keeps You Hydrated

      Moreover, having it in water is a ginger tea benefit. Unlike eating its roots, drinking tea will keep you hydrated. 

      However, taking too much ginger or ginger tea may also bring side effects such as heartburn and stomach upset. 

      Making Your Own Ginger Tea

      • Wash and scrub the raw ginger
      • Peel it.
      • Get 4-6 thin slices. If you want a stronger one, add more slices)
      • Put 2 cups of water into a medium pot. 
      • Place the ginger slices in the pot.
      • Let it boil for 10-20 minutes (depending on how strong you want it to be)
      • Remove from heat.
      • You may add honey or lime to your tea. 

      Ginger tea has loads of benefits. Therefore, if you are a fan of the strong taste, do not forget to add ginger to your diet. Above all, take the right amount to get the benefits of ginger water.
